The National Institute for Fisheries Research and Development (INIDEP) began a new activity on Thursday, February 29, aboard the fishing vessel San Arawa II. The main objective is to estimate the variability in catch estimates of Patagonian toothfish, which are usually conducted by Observers on board. They will also carry out on-board samplings of the species to increase knowledge about various aspects related to the biology, reproductive dynamics, and population of Patagonian toothfish.
