On Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8, the National Institute of Fisheries Research and Development (INIDEP) hosted an important international cooperation meeting in marine science. With the presence of INIDEP Director, Mag. Gonzalo Eduardo Bacigalupo, and the Executive Director of the Fisheries Development Institute (IFOP) of Chile, Dr. Gonzalo Pereira Puchy, the signing of two new technical collaboration agreements between the two institutions was formalized. These institutions have been working together since 2014.
The agreements aim to strengthen joint actions in fisheries research, sustainable management of marine resources, and scientific training. In particular, one of the agreements focuses on the study of Patagonian toothfish (Dissostichus eleginoides).
